AI Image Upscaler
Enlarge photos and pictures 2x or 4x with AI that adds real detail, right in your browser. No upload, no watermark.
Your image is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
The AI model downloads once (8 MB for 2x, 20 to 50 MB for 4x). Upscaling runs on your device: a small image takes seconds, a large one can take a few minutes.
Drag the slider: left is the original (stretched), right is the upscaled image.
AI Image Upscaler
Enlarging a small picture normally just makes it blurry. An AI upscaler instead predicts the missing detail, so edges stay crisp and textures look natural at twice or four times the size. This tool uses Swin2SR super-resolution models running on your own device: 2x is quick and good for screenshots, graphics and slightly small photos; 4x is trained on real-world photos and also cleans up JPEG artefacts. A compare slider shows the difference, and a Quick mode gives an instant smooth enlargement when you do not need AI.
How to use AI Image Upscaler
- Choose an image or drop it on the box.
- Pick 2x or 4x, and AI or Quick mode.
- Click Upscale. The AI model downloads once (8 MB for 2x, 20 to 50 MB for 4x), then the image is processed tile by tile.
- Drag the slider to compare, then download as PNG, JPG or WebP.
When it comes in handy
- Making a small product or profile photo big enough to print or post.
- Sharpening low-resolution screenshots and old pictures.
- Enlarging images for a website hero or a presentation.
Frequently asked questions
- How big can the image be?
- For AI 2x, up to 1600 px on the longest side (3200 px out); for AI 4x, up to 900 px (3600 px out). Bigger images are reduced first. Quick mode goes up to 4096 px out.
- Why does it take a while?
- The AI runs on your device. A small image takes seconds; a large one can take a few minutes on a slow computer. Browsers with WebGPU (recent Chrome and Edge) are much faster.
- Can it recover faces or text?
- It sharpens and adds plausible detail, but it cannot restore information that is not there. Very small faces and text may still look soft.
- Is my image uploaded?
- No. The model runs in your browser, so the image never leaves your device.
