Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how SEOpeck ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the website https://seopeck.com (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

1. Information you give us

When you contact us: your email address and anything you write in your message.
When you ask for a tool report by email: your email address, the tool you used and the address you checked. If you also ask to hear about new tools, we record when and from which IP address you asked, and when you confirmed. See Tool reports by email below.

2. What you enter into the tools

Many tools, such as the image converters and text tools, run entirely in your browser, so what you enter is not sent to us. Tools that have to fetch something from the internet, such as the SEO, DNS, SSL or redirect checks, send the address you enter to our server so it can run the check.

A few tools rely on an outside service. The Website Speed Test sends the page address you enter to Google PageSpeed Insights, which loads and measures the page. The Domain Rating Checker sends the domain names you enter to Ahrefs. The Image Geotagger works on your photos inside your browser and never uploads them; only an address you search for is sent to OpenStreetMap (Nominatim), and if you open the map, its tiles load from OpenStreetMap, which sees your IP address as any website you visit does.

Most of the calculators, converters, text, image, developer and security tools run entirely in your browser: what you type and the files you choose are not sent to us. Some load an open-source library from a public code CDN (jsDelivr or cdnjs) or handwriting fonts from Google Fonts when you open them, which sees your IP address like any website. The WebRTC Leak Test asks Google's public STUN server which address your connection uses, and Text to Speech voices marked "online" are provided by your browser's maker. A few tools send what you enter to an outside service to answer it: the Subdomain Finder asks the public certificate logs crt.sh and Cert Spotter, the CVE Lookup asks the U.S. National Vulnerability Database, the ASN Lookup asks RIPEstat, the Safe Browsing Checker asks Google Web Risk, the DNS Propagation Checker asks public DNS resolvers and the domain's own nameservers, and the blacklist checkers ask the listed spam blacklists. We send only the address, domain or search you entered.

The Background Remover downloads its AI model once from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) the first time you use it and runs it in your browser: your photos stay on your device. The llms.txt, robots.txt, heading, image alt text and noindex checkers fetch the web address you enter, and that site's robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap, from our server, which identifies itself as SEOpeckBot.

The Grammar Checker sends the text you check from your browser to LanguageTool (api.languagetool.org, run by LanguageTooler GmbH in Germany), which returns the suggestions; our server never receives that text. The AMP Validator loads Google's AMP validator from cdn.ampproject.org and runs it in your browser. When you give the AMP Validator or the Microdata to JSON-LD Converter a web address, our server downloads that page for you. The Screen, Voice and Webcam Recorders and the Document Converters work entirely in your browser: recordings and files stay on your device.

The video and audio tools (such as the Video Compressor, Video to GIF and Audio Converter) download the open-source FFmpeg engine once from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) and run it in your browser. Your videos and audio files are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us or to jsDelivr.

Traceroute Online and the Global Ping Test send the address you enter from your browser to the free Globalping network (api.globalping.io), whose probes run the test and return the results. The DNS Leak Test makes your browser look up test names at bash.ws, which sees your IP address and the DNS servers you use in order to show them to you. The AI Image Upscaler downloads its model once from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) and processes your image in your browser; the image is never uploaded. The Domain Rating Checker can show other websites with a similar rating, taken from Ahrefs' public list of top domains.

The IP Lookup tool sends the IP address you enter (or, if you leave it empty, asks about your own) from your browser to the free ipwho.is service, which returns its location and network details. IP to Hostname asks Google Public DNS (or Cloudflare 1.1.1.1) for the reverse DNS record of the address over DNS-over-HTTPS, and ipwho.is for its network owner. The JSON Beautifier and the Image Compressor work entirely in your browser; what you paste or choose is never uploaded.

The SEOpeck browser extension (SEOpeck: SEO Checker & Website Analyzer) reads the title, headings, links and other SEO details of the page you are viewing, only when you open it, and shows them inside your browser. Those results stay on your device. If you open its PageSpeed tab, the extension sends the address (URL) of that page to seopeck.com, which asks Google PageSpeed Insights to test it. The report is kept for 30 minutes so repeat checks are quick, and your IP address is used only to limit how many tests can be run in a short time, the same as our Website Speed Test tool. Nothing else about you or your browsing is sent. When you click one of its tool links, the tool opens on seopeck.com with the page address filled in, and that visit is covered by this policy like any other.

3. Usage data

Our server records standard technical information for security and troubleshooting, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects information about how you use the site (see Analytics).

Tool reports by email

On some tools you can press "Email me this report" to get the result in your inbox.

We run the check again and send the report once, to the address you entered. This does not add you to any mailing list.
If you tick "Also email me when SEOpeck adds new tools", the report email contains a "Confirm subscription" button. You are only added after you press it. If you do not confirm, you will not receive any further emails.
Confirmed subscribers get an occasional email about new tools. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
Addresses that were only used for a report, and sign-ups that were never confirmed, are deleted after 30 days. We keep them that long to stop the form being misused and to answer questions about a report.
Confirmed subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe, we keep a note of your address so that we do not email you again.
We send a report because you asked for it, and new-tool emails only because you agreed to receive them. Emails are sent through our email provider, and may later be sent through an email delivery service that works on our behalf. We never sell or rent email addresses.

The report email also mentions that we can help with SEO and website problems. We only contact you about that if you reply or write to us.

Cookies

When you first visit SEOpeck, a banner asks whether we may use analytics cookies and advertising cookies. Both stay off unless you allow them. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Necessary cookies (always on): a session cookie and a security token (XSRF-TOKEN) that protect forms, a cookie that remembers your cookie choice (sp_consent, 6 months), and your language choice. Your light or dark theme is stored in your browser, not in a cookie. Your favorite and recently used tools, the settings you last chose in a tool and the last few addresses you checked in a lookup tool are also kept only in your browser (local storage) and are never sent to us. These do not track you and cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies (only if you allow them): Google Analytics sets _ga cookies for up to 13 months to count visits and see which tools are used. If you reject analytics, Google Analytics is not loaded at all, and any _ga cookies already on your device for this site are removed.
Advertising cookies (only if you allow them): Google AdSense may use cookies to show and measure ads, including personalised ads. These are only used while ads run on SEOpeck.

We use Google Consent Mode, so Google's tags receive your choice and respect it.

Google Ads and third-party advertising

When ads run on SEOpeck they are provided by Google AdSense. With your consent, Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. Without that consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Analytics

If you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which tools are popular and which pages have problems. Google Analytics reports are aggregated; we do not use them to identify you.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

The Service may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
