Will a styled QR code still scan?: Yes, as long as the dots contrast strongly with the background (dark on light is safest) and the logo is not too big. Keep the quiet zone around the code, and always test with a couple of phones before printing.
Do these QR codes expire?: No. The content is stored in the code itself, not behind a short link, so it works forever and nobody tracks the scans.
Which format is best for print?: SVG: it is a vector file, so it stays sharp at any size. For the web, PNG is best; choose a transparent background to place the code on a coloured design.
