Frequently asked questions

Why does it show Cloudflare instead of the real host?

Sites behind Cloudflare or another proxy only show the proxy's IP addresses; the server behind it is deliberately hidden. The DNS and email details still come from the site's own records.

Is the country where the server is?

It is where the IP range is registered, which is usually but not always where the server stands. CDNs serve the same site from many countries.

Where does the data come from?

DNS records, the site's response headers, Team Cymru's IP-to-network service and the regional internet registries (RDAP).
