Domain Age Checker

A domain's registration date tells you how long a website has been around, which is useful when you judge a competitor, a link opportunity or a domain you want to buy. This checker looks up each domain at its registry and shows when it was registered, its age, when it expires and which registrar manages it.

How to use Domain Age Checker

1. Enter one domain per line, up to 10. Subdomains are checked against their main domain.
2. Click Check domain age.
3. Compare the ages and expiry dates in the table. Domains that expire within 30 days are highlighted.

Frequently asked questions

Does domain age affect rankings?

Not directly. Google has said the age of a domain is not a ranking factor. Older sites often rank well because they have had time to earn links and build content, not because of the date itself.

Why is no date shown for some domains?

Some registries, such as DENIC for .de domains, do not publish creation dates. The domain may also not be registered.

Is this the date the website started?

It is the date the current registration began. A domain that expired and was registered again shows the new date, and a site may have launched long after its domain was registered.
