Extract Audio from Video
Save a video's soundtrack as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, Opus or FLAC.
Processed in your browser: your files are never uploaded.
The video engine (FFmpeg) downloads once, about 31 MB, and then works offline in this tab. Processing runs on your own device, so long or 4K videos can take a while; keep the tab open until it finishes.
Extract Audio from Video
Pull the audio out of a video in the format you need. Choose M4A and, when the video's sound is already AAC (as in most phone and MP4 videos), the original track is copied without re-encoding, so there is no quality loss at all. Choose WAV or FLAC for editing software, MP3 for compatibility, or Opus and OGG for the smallest files.

Frequently asked questions
- Which format keeps the original quality?
- M4A copies AAC audio untouched. WAV and FLAC are lossless, so nothing is lost in the conversion, but the files are bigger.
- Why does it take a while?
- Everything is processed on your own computer or phone instead of a server. Short clips take seconds; long or 4K videos can take several minutes. Keep the tab open until it finishes.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. The video engine runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device. Only the engine itself (FFmpeg, about 31 MB) is downloaded, once.
