Video Trimmer
Cut the start and end off a video, with a player to pick the exact times. Instant or frame-accurate.
Processed in your browser: your files are never uploaded.
The video engine (FFmpeg) downloads once, about 31 MB, and then works offline in this tab. Processing runs on your own device, so long or 4K videos can take a while; keep the tab open until it finishes.
Video Trimmer
Keep only the part of a video you need. Play the video, pause where the clip should begin and click Use player time, then do the same for the end. The exact cut re-encodes the clip so it starts on precisely the frame you chose; untick it for an instant cut that copies the video without re-encoding (it starts at the nearest keyframe, which can be up to a couple of seconds earlier).
How to use Video Trimmer

Frequently asked questions
- How do I type a time?
- As seconds (75.5) or minutes and seconds (1:15.5), or hours, minutes and seconds (1:02:03). Leave the end empty to keep everything to the end.
- Why does the instant cut start a little early?
- Videos are stored in groups of frames that start with a keyframe; without re-encoding, a cut can only start on one. Use the exact cut when it matters.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. The video engine runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device. Only the engine itself (FFmpeg, about 31 MB) is downloaded, once.
