Audio Converter
Convert audio between MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, Opus and FLAC, including audio from video files.
Processed in your browser: your files are never uploaded.
The video engine (FFmpeg) downloads once, about 31 MB, and then works offline in this tab. Processing runs on your own device, so long or 4K videos can take a while; keep the tab open until it finishes.
Audio Converter
Some apps want MP3, some editors want WAV, and some sites only take M4A. This converter reads almost any audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, FLAC, WMA, AIFF, AMR) and the sound from video files, and writes the format you choose at the quality you choose.

Frequently asked questions
- Does converting MP3 to WAV improve quality?
- No. WAV only stores what is already there; it makes editing easier, not the sound better. Convert from the best original you have.
- What is the difference between lossy and lossless?
- MP3, M4A, OGG and Opus discard sounds you are unlikely to hear to save space. WAV and FLAC keep everything; FLAC compresses without loss, WAV does not compress at all.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. The video engine runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device. Only the engine itself (FFmpeg, about 31 MB) is downloaded, once.
