Frequently asked questions

Is this grammar checker really free?

Yes. It uses LanguageTool's free public service, which allows about 20 checks a minute and 20,000 characters per check. There is no sign-up and no word limit per day.

Who sees my text?

Your browser sends the text straight to LanguageTool (LanguageTooler GmbH, Germany) for checking; SEOpeck's server never receives it. LanguageTool says it does not store texts from its API. Still, do not paste passwords or confidential documents.

Does it catch everything?

No checker does. It catches most spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes, but read the text once more yourself, especially for words that are spelled right but used wrongly.

Can it check British English?

Yes. Choose English (UK) and it follows British spelling, such as colour and organise.
