Can I use my own separator?

Yes. Choose "Something else" and type any separator, such as a pipe (|) or " / ".

Does it handle quotes in CSV?

It is a simple splitter, not a full CSV parser. For CSV with quoted fields that contain commas, use the CSV to JSON tool.
