- Why are the voices different on my phone and computer?
- The voices come from the operating system and browser, so Windows, macOS, Android and iOS each offer their own set. Chrome and Edge add online voices.
- Can I download the audio as MP3?
- No. Browsers do not let websites record their speech output. The tool is for listening.
- Is my text sent anywhere?
- Local voices run on your device. Voices marked "online" are provided by the browser maker (such as Google or Microsoft), and the text is sent to their speech service.
