IP Blacklist Checker

Mail servers check senders against DNS blacklists (DNSBLs) of IP addresses known for spam, malware or abuse. If your server's IP is listed, your emails may bounce or land in spam. This checker queries 19 blacklists at once for an IP address, or for the IPs behind a host name, and links to each list's site so you can request removal.

How to use IP Blacklist Checker

1. Enter an IPv4 address, or a host name such as mail.example.com.
2. Click Check.
3. If an IP is listed, open that list's website, fix the cause (such as a hacked account or open relay), then request delisting.

When it comes in handy

Frequently asked questions

Why is Spamhaus not in the list?

Spamhaus refuses queries from shared and public DNS resolvers, so they cannot be checked reliably from a website. Use the Spamhaus link in the results to check there directly.

I am listed on one small list. Should I worry?

It depends on the list. SpamCop, Barracuda and Spamhaus listings affect a lot of mail; some smaller lists are used by few servers. Fix the cause either way.

Why is IPv6 not supported?

Almost all blacklists only list IPv4 addresses.
