Frequently asked questions

Why does the HTML not look exactly like my Word file?: On purpose: the converter keeps the meaning (headings, lists, emphasis) and drops the page styling (fonts, colours, spacing), so the result takes on your website's own design. Use proper Word heading styles (Heading 1, Heading 2) to get proper HTML headings.
Can it convert old .doc files?: No, only .docx. Open a .doc file in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs and save it as .docx first.
What happens to the images?: They are embedded in the HTML as data URLs, so the file works on its own. For a website, you may prefer to upload the images separately and change the image links.
Is my file uploaded?: No. The conversion runs in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
