Frequently asked questions
What if my text is double-encoded?
If the result still shows entity codes (an ampersand, a name or number, then a semicolon), the text was encoded more than once. Run the decoder again on the result, once per layer, until the characters look right.
Does it decode numeric entities?
Yes. Both named entities such as © and numeric ones such as © map to the same character.
